Team and Business Caps in Bulk: Discounts, Sew-Out Proofs, and Reorders

Ordering embroidered caps for a team, a crew, or a whole company is a different job from buying one hat: the price per piece matters more, mistakes multiply, and someone has to collect sizes and colors without losing their mind. Here’s how bulk orders work at our shop, with the actual discount numbers, the proof process that protects you, and the ways to run the order that don’t involve a spreadsheet standoff.

The discount tiers, in plain numbers

Bulk pricing here is automatic. Add pieces to the cart and the discount applies at checkout on its own, no coupon code and no “request a quote” form:

  • 12+ pieces: 10% off
  • 36+ pieces: 15% off
  • 72+ pieces: 20% off
  • 144+ pieces: 25% off

The tiers count total pieces in the cart, so a mixed order of 20 trucker caps and 16 beanies lands in the 36-piece tier. You can watch the cart tell you how many pieces away the next tier is.

One logo set-up covers the whole run, then every reorder

Digitizing your logo into a stitch file is a one-time $35 job, and it’s waived outright on orders of $250 or more, which nearly every team order crosses. After the first run your logo stays on file: next season’s reorder stitches from the same file, identical to the last batch, with no set-up fee. There’s even a checkbox in the cart for exactly that.

The free sew-out: approve a real stitched sample first

On orders of $250 or more we stitch your design on a real hat, the same blank and thread as your run, and get your approval before production starts. Most shops charge for physical samples or skip them entirely and hope the digital mockup was enough. On a 72-piece run, catching a thread color or sizing issue on one sample hat instead of 72 finished ones is the whole ballgame, and it’s why we absorb the cost.

Mixing styles, colors, and names

  • Mixed colors, same logo: order each colorway as its own line; the bulk tier still counts the total.
  • Mixed styles: caps for the field crew, beanies for winter, visors for the golf outing. All of it counts toward the same tier.
  • Individual names: add personalized text per hat in the designer, in any of our 77 fonts. Names make team gear actually get worn.

Three ways to run a team order

Self-serve: build it in the cart yourself; the designer previews every piece and the discounts apply automatically.

Hand it to us: email your logo and a simple list (style, color, quantity, any names) to sales@thehatstorebycypress.us or use the chat bubble, and we’ll set up the whole order and send it back for one approval.

By phone: talk it through with us and we’ll email an invoice with a secure pay link, handy when the order is going on a company card and the person with the card isn’t the person with the logo.

Common questions

Do I have to order all one size?

Most of our caps are adjustable snapback or strapback styles, which sidesteps the sizing collection problem entirely. For fitted styles, our size chart makes collecting sizes painless.

Can I see the discount before committing?

Yes, it’s visible in the cart the moment your piece count crosses a tier. Nothing is hidden behind a quote request.

We ordered last year. Is a reorder cheaper?

Your logo is already digitized and on file, so reorders skip set-up and stitch identically to the previous run. The bulk tiers apply the same way.

What’s the smallest “bulk” order worth doing?

Twelve pieces is where the first 10% kicks in, but there’s no minimum here at all: if the crew is six people, order six. See how no-minimum ordering works.

Ready to see your idea stitched?

No minimum order · free standard shipping on $35+ · you approve the design before we stitch.
